**Step 1: Clear everything off the counters**
Everything. Put it all in a box. You're starting from zero.
**Step 2: Apply the shelf liner**
Line the countertops with Con-Tact adhesive liner (marble pattern works well on beige). This alone makes the kitchen look $10K more expensive.
**Step 3: Magnetic paper towel holder**
Move the paper towel roll to the fridge side using the Yamazaki magnetic holder. One less thing on the counter.
**Step 4: Organize under the sink**
Place the Brightroom cabinet shelf risers inside cabinets to double your vertical storage. Move cleaning supplies under the sink in an organized row.
**Step 5: Add task lighting**
Stick the Govee under-cabinet LED bars beneath upper cabinets. Set to warm white (3000K). This transforms the entire room after dark.
**Step 6: Put back only the essentials**
Sink caddy, one cutting board (leaned against the backsplash), the Always Pan on the stove. Nothing else on the counter.
Pro Tips
- The shelf liner removes cleanly but works best on smooth surfaces. Test a small piece first.
- Under-cabinet lights need a USB power source — run the cable along the cabinet edge with cable clips.
- If you have a tiny kitchen, skip the paper towel holder and use a wall-mounted one inside a cabinet door instead.
